Product Details
Celotex SL5000 is a high performance thermal insulation board combining premium performance PIR insulation bonded to 6mm calcium silicate. SL5000 is specifically targeted at concrete soffit floor applications.
SL5000 is manufactured from rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) using a blowing agent that has low global warming potential (GWP) and a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP).

Installation Guidelines
Prior to installation, the concrete soffit should be checked to ensure that it is structurally sound, dry, clean and
where necessary primed before application of the insulation board.
It is recommended that SL5000 is installed with joints tightly butted and break-bonded.
SL5000 should always be installed directly to the concrete soffit via mechanical fixings.
Fixings should be evenly laid out with a minimum of 12 fixings per 1200mm x 2400mm board.
Fixings should be installed between 50mm – 100mm from the edge and corners of the board. Suitable fixings should comprise a screw type suitable for both the product and concrete deck into which it is being driven, combined with a circular and rectangular plate washer having a surface area of not less than 45cm². Advice on suitable fixings should be sought directly from the fixing manufacturer.
