Our reason for being ...

Our ethos is to provide to our customers the best service, to acquire the best products, at the best prices, with the best delivery service, within the best lead-times.

Due to our high volume of sales, we have managed to negotiate the lowest pricing levels with manufacturers or their nominated distributors that are only available to their largest business accounts. We then pass on these great prices directly to our customers.

As we provide a brokerage facility, rather than a retail service, our fees account for only a very small percentage of our customers' total bills. Therefore, our prices have to be amongst the the most competitive available to small to medium sized building companies.

 

Orders and deliveries ...

We deliver orders to our customers speedily and efficiently from seventy depots located throughout the country. We also arrange for off-shore deliveries to the British isles and to European Union member states.

However, we do not stock products at our administrative offices, the address of which is listed above.

 

 

Collections from our depots ...

Commonly, orders are supplied from more than one depot, so collections are not always feasible. Our depots are not set up for small order collections.

 

Product advice ...

We endeavour to maintain a detailed working knowledge of each product that we sell, and we are happy to share this knowledge.

On occasions, where similarly manufactured products are available, or where there is confusion regarding the most appropriate products to fulfil our customers' needs, we offer advice related to the pros and cons of these items.

The best source of advice is the manufacturers' published information, which we have provided for download whereever possible. The download page offers easy access to the latest product information and certification, plus technical literature and drawings; engineers' data sheets; installation booklets; promotional brochures, video clips; et cetera.

It should be noted that we are not Architects, Designers, Engineers or Quantity Surveyors, and do not undertake free or unpaid research on their behalf. Nor do we offer opinions on technical or design issues. Equally, we do not undertake U-value or SAP calculations, but recommend our customers seek the advice of a qualified professional to ascertain the combined performance values of the building materials and insulation.

 

Our credit policies ...

Our business is set up to provide the most competitive prices available today.
By keeping our administration and expenses to a minimum we can offer great value. Credit Accounts are costly to service and time consuming to maintain. And, with the current poor interest rates, they provide neither customer nor vendor with any particular finacial advantage other than cash-flow.

The other side of the equation is that we pay our suppliers promptly. Consequently, they are happy to minimise their prices because they do not have to chase us for payment.

Of course, we do offer Credit Accounts to our long-standing customers, but only after they have shown their commitment to provide payment to us on a timely basis.

 

Security of your information when buying from your web site ...

Your private information is never shared with third parties. We need to disclose your delivery information, obviously.

 

Internet orders and payments ...

Payments made over the Internet are handled by HSBC Merchant Services, which is a very secure facility, from which we cannot see our customers charge card details. Paying via HSBC offers you the fastest and most secure method of payment.

 

Telephone orders and payments ...

Payment via HSBC is the most secure way to effect financial transactions with us, but we understand that some of our customers may not have ready access to the Internet, or may simply prefer to deal with a real person.

Under these circumstances we reluctantly accept payment details by telephone. Your information is secure with us and will not be divulged to un authorised parties.

Payment transactions by telephone require you, the customer, to divulge your personal details to us, a third party, when Ideally such details are best kept private.
